Therapy
for the

you carry.

I'm Dani — a psychologist working with adults who feel like they're holding it together, and would rather not have to. Together we'll make room for what's actually going on.

About Dani

Not a fixer.
A witness.

I trained at the university of slow-paced honesty. My clients are high-functioning adults — therapists, founders, artists, parents — who can articulate their feelings beautifully and still feel stuck in them.

My work is integrative: psychodynamic listening, CBT structure when it helps, somatic and EMDR work for what won't move with language alone. No worksheets unless we both want one.

Sessions are 50 minutes, in-person in the Mission, or online anywhere in California. Spanish and English. Sliding scale available.

How it works

A practice that moves at the speed of trust.

01

We start with a phone call.

20 minutes, free, no preamble. You tell me what's going on. I tell you whether I'm the right person, or who might be better.

02

The first three sessions are a fit.

We don't commit to anything long. We notice what your nervous system does in the room with me.

03

Then the actual work begins.

Usually weekly. Sometimes biweekly. Always at your pace. Endings are planned — not ghosted.

"
She doesn't perform empathy. She just is empathic, and then she asks the question I've been avoiding for a year.

"
I came in to fix my sleep. I left two years later with a different relationship to my mother, my partner, and my own ambition.

Common questions

Before you reach out.

Do you prescribe medication?
No — I'm a psychologist, not a psychiatrist. If meds become part of the picture, I'll refer you to someone I trust and we'll coordinate.
How long does therapy take?
Most people work with me for one to three years. Some come for a focused six months. We talk about the arc openly — endings are part of the work.
Do you work with couples?
Yes, but not at the same time as I see one of you individually. Couples work asks for a neutral seat in the room.
What if I've tried therapy before and it didn't help?
We'll talk about what didn't work. Often the issue isn't the modality — it's the relationship, the pacing, or the avoidance the therapy was quietly colluding with.
